Sports therapists underpin their therapy programs with the principles and teachings of sport and exercise science incorporating their knowledge with biomechanical, pathological and physiological influences.

Within sport they have an emphasis to not only provide injury management but also prepare athletes, teams or coach players to gain their very best from their chosen discipline.

Cassia Health has a newly developed Sports Rehabilitation and Performance team headed up by Stella Zhang MCSP HCPC and supported by Marcus Creagh Senior Sports Therapist and Lucy Jones, Sports therapist.

With an emphasis on developing those who wish to develop their performance both on and off pitchside or to rehabilitate from an injury, to enhance performance through measurement and testing and to be health coached to achieving goals within the game.

Stella leads the teams from Pitchside arenas to individualist exercise using Pilates reformers, hands on, coaching/training sessions and bespoke programs

"I had an ankle sprain a couple months ago and attended four sessions with Marcus a month after my injury took place. The treatment and exercises he gave me were highly effective, and I appreciated his professionalism and helpfulness! Thanks to him my ankle has healed well. If I need to see a physio in the future I will definitely be back."
