Cassia Health views health and wellbeing classes as a positive and proactive step to becoming and maintaining health

Why Cassia Health Classes?

Evidence shows that exercise improves flexibility, endurance, improves bone and muscle strength,can assist with pain management, improves mental wellbeing, reduces stress and improves self esteem.

We offer classes which are led by class tutors who have gained  higher accreditation within the specific arena of exercise which they teach. For example, our Pilates and Yoga teachers have gained the accredited APPI ( one of the most in depth and widely recognised Pilates teacher training programs in the world); Our ballet classes are tutored by a former Ballerina and Parkinson's Warriors, by one of our clinicians who is developing a keen interest in this area of health and has undertaken the examinations to teach Parkinson's Warrior classes.

We teach classes, because we believe that helping you helps a better day! Our classes are small, focused and friendly.

We offer the following classes:

Pilates: 

 

  • APPI Pilates Matwork 1: Hazel Gold
  • APPI Pilates Matwork 2: Hazel Gold
  • Pilates with Holly Wild
  • Pilates for the lesser abled; gentle, slow paced beginners pilates
  • Pilates within a chair: Useful for those who may have difficulty with balance
  • Rehabilitation Pilates : useful for those who have had recent surgery or are rehabilitating from Spine or hip surgery and are looking to move to social classes. This is a 1:1 rehabilitation session with Hazel Gold
  • We also offer 2:1 or 1:1 Pilates classes

Ballet:

  • Adult Ballet: Hazel Gold
  • Barre: Invigorating stretch, core and motion class. Hazel Gold

General up and go exercise:

  • Move it or Lose it Circuits: Adam Newberry- circuits for the older client or those entering exercise as a start to a new evet in their lifestyle, looking for a gentle class or wish to regain flexibility to move forwards to a future Pilates class
  • Stretch Class: Adam Newberry-gentle stretch class for the older person
  • Total Hip or Total Knee class: Adam Newberry: Class designed to continued with joint replacement rehabilitation and maintain strength and mobility after Physiotherapy discharge

Parkinsons Warrior Class

 

  • Parkinsons Warrior type classes provided by an accredited PW Level 1 and 2 instructor Adam Newberry
