Inhouse Imaging

Diagnostic MSK Ultrasonography.

Diagnostic Ultrasound is a real time non-invasive means of providing images which reflect soft tissue and bone surface anatomy and can assist in supporting a clinician examination to provide you with a clinical diagnosis.
Ultrasound is the use of Soundwaves which is not radioactive and can be used for many scenarios without detrimental effect to the patient.

Real time means the practitioner is able to view the tissues there and then and can also allow the patient to move the limb or area to see tissue movement enhancing the clinical picture.

With the Physiotherapy clinician in the examination this enables a three way approach to a progression plan for you.

The 'Move Clinic' are two Extended scope practitioners who practice Ultrasonography within Radiology departments within the NHS continually proving their scope of practice. By using the specialists Cassia Health can endorse quality and offer access to a further expert approach to rehabilitation.

We can also use Ultrasound as a diagnostic tool and use the imaging to revisit the injury to view progress when necessary to do so.

To make an appointment with a Physiotherapist to discuss this please contact Esther who will help you to complete the Ultrasound request form.

MRI Imaging

Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI) is a medical imaging technique that uses a magnetic field and computer generated radio wave to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within the body.
The test is provided by a Radiology department and uses the Expertise of a Radiologist to report on the images.

Whilst the diagnostic test has significant benefits for diagnosis of MSK conditions there are specific conditions for use and therefore the patient requires a clinical referral from our Physiotherapy team.
We are delighted to refer our clients to the Cobalt Service in Cheltenham Gloucestershire and please refer to the 'our partners' page at the base of the web page.

We charge for a referral as it will form part of our assessment for you and will play a role in your rehabilitation or further referral to a medical specialist practitioner
